Positive: My room was nice and Hari was a lovely manager. He helped with anything I needed and was super friendly. The room they eventually gave me (the right one I paid for) was really nice. The room they checked me in to didn't match the pictures on the booking and was the standard room, not the deluxe that I booked.

Negative: The check in experience was awful. I was put in the wrong room, it was down the street and not even a part of the hotel. On top of this, the manager (NOT Hari), was very angry. He shouted at me down the phone and refused to put me in another room and begged me to take the wrong room, offered and refund (if I left) or free breakfast. I said I would let him know, then when I called back to say I would leave, he shouted at me repeatedly and asked me to 'help him out a bit' since they were fully booked, and refused to give me a refund. He said I had to go directly through booking.com and not through him. Eventually, they offered me another room of the value I paid for, but this was a very stressful experience for a solo female traveller and not one I felt was reasonable. I can only understand it was stress from the manager of being over booked? But still not great. Hari was helpful and put me in the right room. Once I was in the correct room, it was a great stay with no issues. Even the other guests were nice and I made some friends. Has a bit of a hostel feel to it which is nice. Just be careful which rooms they put you in vs what you booked!! I never leave bad reviews. But this check in was so stressful.
